This is written so well! There is always safety in Jesus!! He, the Father, and Spirit are always with us, no matter the circumstances and no matter how much it seems the world is deteriorating. You’re right when you say the ways of the world are not the ways of God.
I love how hopeful you are amidst the fearful things that are happening.
Beautifully written! We met at Locked a couple of weeks ago. I’m not Jamaican but I consider Treasure Beach to be my second home, as I’ve been going regularly over the last years. It’s been so sad to see how the hurricane has mashed things up. I’ve been trying to communicate and centralize information about fundraising efforts as well as giving what I can. So much learning about solidarity and community, climate justice and environmental stewardship and development and human nature. I’ll be there soon and will try to be of service, including in writing an essay about it. Would love to share with you! Thanks again for your beautiful reflections.
Ah yes I remember you mentioning Treasure Beach! We should definitely link and talk more sometime. This document is great, I’ll add it to this article and if you don’t mind share some of your resources in my circles too. Thank you so much for you love towards my island 🏝️😭❤️❤️❤️❤️
Rae, I’m so honored to be part of this reflection, and even more inspired by your commitment to your true self unfolding in this work! I plan to come back for a deep reading later this week, just wanted to stop by and say hi 🖤✨
Here’s my fundraising roundup by the way:

Thank you so much Elaine! There is so much to hold onto and to hug even in the most trying of times ❤️❤️
