You've Been Thinking About 'PURPOSE' All Wrong...
They love it when you boil yourself down to a job-title. Don't give them the satisfaction.

Have you ever found yourself wondering…
How do I know this is the right direction?
How do I know this is the right job?
When will it be my turn for success?
It would be so nice if I was as passionate about my job as X…
If this sounds like you, you’ll enjoy reading my latest blog post:
I asked you: Are People Born with Purpose?
As a multifaceted global citizen, a singular purpose, the kind of purpose that looks like a specific job or profession, has often eluded me. Life is so full of possibilities, and I get excited over learning something new almost daily.
In June alone I’ve been tempted to pick up Python, do a certificate in HR skills, get certified to guide people on their Gene Keys Hologenic Profile.
When I was a teenager, I used to pine over all the possibilities I saw for myself. ‘I could DO literally ANYTHING’. The craziest conundrum. Was it a curse to be driven by so much?
What I learnt next completely set me free. It gave me a whole new sense of purpose.
Your purpose isn’t a job or a career path. It’s the most authentic expression of your being. It’s an energy, a personal mission statement etched into your DNA. It’s something that transcends the human squabble… it’s something that contributes to the whole.
Big thanks to these lovely global citizens for their input!

Language Update
This week has been great for my studies. As we enter the second half of the year, I’ve started to revamp my Notion space for my language studies (and I’m filming the whole process!)
Here were the main things:
Studied another chapter of Book 2 of A Contemporary Course in Chinese
Went to a Dragon Boat Festival & Midsommar meetup at the Taiwanese Ambassador’s home and spoke Mandarin for 3 consecutive hours!!
Using Pei Pei’s IG posts to study more Mandarin idioms
Wrote a personal motivation statement in Swedish & got corrections (oooof it’s been awhile and this made me feel a bit scared for my Swedish!)
In the second half of the year, I’d like to do more work on laddering & writing as a method of incorporating language studies more into my life. I was especially inspired by The Polyglot Fox, who talked about her way of laddering in our recent instalment of Polyglot’s Talk!
